Water is a universal symbol of emotion. Note the condition of the water in your dream. If the water is smooth and placid, so are your emotions. If the water is wild and stormy, it is a reflection of your emotional state. I frequently dream about storms at sea when I am out of touch with my emotions or not practicing self care.
