Is anybody out there?

By Penny | November 16, 2007

I occassionally attend meetings at my local spiritualist church.  Spiritualists believe in life and consciousness after death and the ‘communion and ministry of Spirits’  They are essentially Christian in nature and a service usually involves the signing of well known hymns and spiritual songs.  were it departs from a regular church is that the minister will ‘channel’ the sermon from spirits on the other side.  Later, the minister or one of the others will do flower readings or give messages from departed loved ones.

I was looking up their website and had to have a giggle at the ‘past presidents page’.  There were at least three who were unnamed.  Surely they could have come back from the dead to let someone know their names?  But seriously, I know that the departed have their own agenda and hanging around the physical plane isn’t for everyone.

Mambo and I came independently to the conclusion that we wanted to do some channelling training and thought the SC might be the place to do so.  There aren’t many reputable places around.
